A Walk in the 'Hood

When a dear neighbor was recovering from cancer, visitors were very restricted, both in the hospital and after she returned home. Since she coundn't get out, I decided to bring the neighborhood to her.

I roamed her usual walking route and photographed the people and sights she knew so well. I made prints, then asked everyone to write words of encouragement on the photos themselves. It was a neighborhood-wide "get well" card.
